India’s young star Shubman Gill looked in a joyous mood on Day 1 of IND vs WI 1st Test. In between the overs, Gill was seen dancing to some catchy Caribbean music. Many fans commented that Gill, who has been often called Virat Kohli 2.0, followed the footsteps of his senior who is known for doing entertaining acts on the field.
IND vs WI official live streaming partner, FanCode, shared a video of Gill chirpily grooving to Caribbean beats.
“DO NOT MISS! Keep your eyes on the right side of the screen, we have a surprise Shubman Gill package for you! He is truly enjoying the Caribbean atmosphere”, FanCode tweeted.
Gill & Kohli’s ‘Shimmy’ connection!
While Shubman Gill has always followed the footmarks of Kohli when it comes to techniques. However, the young batter picked Kohli’s dance moves as well as he did the “Shimmy” on the field on Wednesday.
Notably, Virat did the same dance moves during a match against West Indies in 2019.
However, just like his batting, Virat Kohli is versatile in dancing as well as he has many moves up in his sleeves.
From dancing on Dhol to grooving on Lungi Dance, Kohli, never resist showing off his dance moves.
India dominant on Day 1 of IND vs WI 1st Test
Rohit Sharma (30) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (40) remained unbeaten as India ended Day 1 of the first Test against West Indies in Dominica on 80/0. The visitors trailed the hosts by 70 runs at Stumps.
Earlier, West Indies skipper Kraigg Brathwaite won the toss and opted to bat first. And the decision didn’t work out in their favour as Ravichandran Ashwin (5/60) and Ravindra Jadeja (3/26) combined to bundle out West Indies for 150 runs.
Apart from Alick Athanaze, who departed for 47 runs, none of the West Indies batters could play a long innings.
