‘Virat ke jute k barabar bhi nahi..’: Ex-cricketer stokes controversy before IND vs PAK

IND vs PAK: Danish Kaneria, apart from comparing Virat Kohli and Babar Azam, also said that Pakistan can't beat India.

IND vs PAK T20 World Cup match in New York is just a few hours away, and inflammatory statements have started coming from ex-Pakistani cricketers. While, in the last few days Pakistan cricket team’s poor performance has been the focal point, after they lost to USA, now it seems Danish Kaneria has stoked another controversy, with regards to skipper Babar Azam.

Virat Kohli vs Babar Azam

When one talks about the IND vs PAK clashes, the comparison between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam comes up instantly. But Danish Kaneria, with a strong opinion, has ended that debate for now. The ex-spinner gave his conclusion after Babar Azam’s 40-odd runs vs USA in as many deliveries.

“As soon as Babar Azam scored a hundred the next day you’ll see comparisons with Virat Kohli. Virat k jute k barabar bhi nahi hai (He is not even equal to Virat’s shoes),” Kaneria told IANS. “USA Bowlers had him stuck, he was unable to play the bowlers. As soon as he reached 40 odd runs he got out. He should have stayed and won the game. Pakistan should have won the game one sided,” he added.

Pakistan Not Capable of Beating India

Not just that, Danish also said that Pakistan over-relies on their bowling, which leads to their downfall. “India will beat them badly. They are not capable of beating India. Whenever Pakistan come to the World Cup they keep praising their bowling and say that their bowling will win them the game but that was the reason they lost the first game,” remarked Kaneria.
