Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma were spotted offering their prayers in Rishikesh at the Swami Dayanand Giri Ashram. The former India captain has found his spiritual side of late, frequenting many religious places when available. The trip to Rishikesh comes days after the duo along with their daughter Vamika sought blessings at an ashram in Vrindavan.
While they privately sought blessings at the ashram, Kohli and Anushka also did some rituals in public. As per reports, they obliged selfie requests from fans and organised a religious feast (bhandara) for the saints. Kohli had his hands pressed together greeting the saints with reverence.

Earlier, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma stayed at Baba Neem Karoli Ashram in Vrindavan for about an hour. They had ‘darshan’ of Baba’s ‘samadhi’, besides meditating in a ‘kutia’ (hut). Kohli and his family also obliged their fans by giving autographs and posing for photographs with them. They also donated blankets at the ashram, as per reports.

Kohli featured in the ODI series against SriLanka and NewZealand. He will join up with the India squad in Nagpur on February 2. The four-match Test series for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy is also part of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2021-23. Jasprit Bumrah missing the series is a big blow for India as India must win the series 2-0 or 3-1 to qualify for the WTC Final in June. The first Test of the series begins on February 9 in Nagpur. The last two Tests are scheduled to be held across the first two weeks of March.
