Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli has been admitted to the hospital after his health worsened. Doctors have kept him under close observation while conducting all necessary tests at Akriti Hospital, Thane. Kambli was admitted to the hospital late on Saturday night. While he is now stable, his condition remains critical, and he continues to be monitored by specialist doctors.
Health condition and Support from 1983 World Cup Team
The 52-year-old was recently in the news after meeting his childhood friend, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, at Ramakant Achrekar’s memorial. He was seen sitting in a wheelchair at the event, sparking concerns among fans about his health. This is not the first time his health has raised concerns among former cricketers and fans. On this occasion, members of the 1983 World Cup-winning team have come forward to offer financial assistance, which Kambli has graciously accepted.
Kambli opens up about rehab and support
“I’m ready to go for rehab. I want to go because I’m not afraid of anything. My family is with me,” Kambli said during a conversation with Vickey Lalwani on YouTube. He also expressed gratitude towards his close friends, Ajay Jadeja and Abey Kuruvilla, for their support. “Jadeja is a very good friend. He came to meet me and encouraged me to get up. Many people have called me recently to check in,” he added.
