The Indian Cricket Telecast and Live Streaming has a new home. Viacom18 is now the ‘New Home of Indian Cricket’. In the BCCI Media Rights auction, Viacom18 has bagged the rights for all the bilateral matches of Indian Cricket for the next 5 years. And talking of bilateral series, the Indian Cricket team will take on the mighty Australians for a 3-match ODI series.
It has a packed schedule for Rohit Sharma and his boys. The Men in Blue are currently busy in the Asia Cup 2023, but once the Asia Cup is over, India will turn their focus to the World Cup 2023 preparations. Ahead of the mega tournament, India will host Australia for a 3-match ODI series, and this will be the first series in the next cycle that will be Live Telecasted and Live Streamed on Viacom18 networks.
Viacom18 have bagged the BCCI media rights for bilateral cricket matches to be played in India over the course of the following five years. Disney Star and Sony Sports Network were left trailing in the wake of the Mukesh Ambani backed broadcast giants. It is believed that Viacom18 will pay Rs 67.8 Crore for each match.

Viacom 18 Media Private Limited acquired the Media Rights from September 2023 to March 2028 for a cumulative figure of INR 5,963 crores, subject to execution of definitive documentation and completion of formalities as required by BCCI, and other obligations specified in the ITT being completed.
