Eden Gardens in Kolkata is the oldest cricket stadium in India. The stadium was established in 1864. It is situated near the B.B.D. Bagh Road in the city of Kolkata. With a seating capacity of 63,000, it is the second-largest cricket stadium in India. The stadium is owned by the Eastern Command of the Indian Army. The Eden Gardens are often referred to as the home of Indian cricket. It serves as the home ground for the Bengal Cricket Team and the IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders.
