Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne took notice of the fan’s taunts and halted to address the situation. Khawaja urged the spectator to “calm down,” while Labuschagne confronted him about his remarks, pointing out that he was about to direct his comments at everyone else as well. The confrontation was brief, and the fan quickly apologized for his behavior.

This is not the first instance of Australian cricketers facing unpleasant interactions with English fans during the ongoing Ashes series. Earlier, during the second Ashes Test at Lord’s, three members of the MCC were suspended after Australian players were subjected to abuse from the crowd on the final day of the match.

Coming to the match, Sunday’s play in the final Ashes Test was significantly affected by heavy rainfall in London, resulting in the majority of the proceedings being washed out. However, amidst the weather disruptions, the Australian opening batters, Usman Khawaja and David Warner, showcased exceptional resilience against the formidable target of 384 set by England. Despite the limited play, Khawaja and Warner demonstrated their batting prowess, forming an impressive and unbeaten partnership of 135 runs. Both batsmen reached individual milestones by scoring well-deserved half-centuries before the day’s play was called off.
