Updated WTC Points Table after Bangladesh vs South Africa Test

With South Africa thumping Bangladesh, many changes occurred in the WTC points table. See the updated points table after the SA vs BAN 1st Test.

With the win over Bangladesh, South Africa thumped the Bangla Tigers by 7 wickets, successfully chasing down the target of 106 runs and taking a 1-0 lead in the ongoing two-match Test series. From Ton de Zorzi to Kagiso Rabada, all performed exceptionally at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. This victory is massive  because it resulted in a substantial change in the WTC standings, South Africa pulled up to fourth place, with their points percentage improving from 38.89 to 47.62. Also this shift saw New Zealand drop slightly to fifth place, which is certainly interesting as they recently won against India but still slipped. For Bangladesh, there was no change in their position; they remain in seventh place, with their chances of reaching the WTC final almost extinguished, as their points percentage decreased from 34.38 to 30.56.

How can South Africa qualify for the WTC final?

For them, things are extremely simple. All the Tests should go in their favour, from the remaining Bangladesh Test. Then the upcoming Sri Lanka Tests, which South Africa will host against the red-hot form of the Sri Lankan team. Also, Pakistan is also touring South Africa, making things interesting.
