With South Africa being the first team to qualify for World Test Championship (WTC) 2025 final, India and Australia are the two teams competing for the second to qualify for the WTC match for title.
India wanted to win the match to have more chances to qualify for the WTC final, however, they will now have to win the next match against Australia and hope Australia to loss their upcoming matches with Sri Lanka.
Team India finds themselves in a difficult position after losing the 4th Test. They remain in third place in the points table, but their percentage has decreased, and their chances of making it to the WTC final at The Oval are now slimmer.
