Riyan Parag has scored 409 runs at a strike rate of 159.84 and an average of 58.42 in nine innings, including four half-centuries. His highest score is 84 not out.
Before the IPL 2024, Parag excelled for Assam in the Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy, and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
No place in India team despite stellar form
Despite the overwhelming support and opinions of fans and experts, the Assam boy was left out of the Indian T20 World Cup 2024 squad by the selectors. Riyan Parag, though, wasn’t let down by the rejection.
When asked if he was disappointed by the snub in the post-match press conference, Parag said, “Not really. Until last year, I was not even in contention to play in IPL, right?”
