Phew! What a show put up by the duo of Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma in the fourth T20I between India and South Africa. Batting first after winning the toss, the Indian juggernaut steamrolled the hapless South African bowlers, amassing a colossal 283/1 in their allotted 20 overs.

The star of the show was the young prodigy Tilak Varma, who played a scintillating knock of 120* off just 47 deliveries. Lacing his innings with 9 fours and a staggering 10 sixes, Varma toyed with the South African attack, sealing the number three spot in the Indian team.

But Varma’s heroics were matched by the veteran Sanju Samson, who played a sublime innings of 109* off 56 balls. Samson’s clean ball-striking and effortless boundary-hitting left the spectators in awe, as he and Varma stitched together a record-breaking unbeaten 210-run partnership.

The South African bowlers seemed helpless in the face of this onslaught, conceding 283 runs in their 20 overs. The second highest total ever scored by India, and their highest against the Proteas, this innings will go down as one of the most dominant batting performances in the history of T20 cricket.
