Unmukt Chand overlooked by USA selectors once again despite decent outing in MLC

Unmukt Chand has been left out of USA's squad for the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 ODI Series

United States of America (USA) cricket team batter Unmukt Chand has failed to secure a spot in the squad for ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 ODI Series in the Netherlands. Despite being the second highest run-scorer in the history of MLC coupled with decent outings in the league, Chand did not find a place in the side. The tournament, which will see USA play Netherlands and Canada twice, is scheduled to take place from August 11-21.

Unmukt Chand overlooked in USA as well

The exclusion from the squad for the upcoming tournament is the latest setback for Unmukt Chand. The batter, who shifted to the USA after his career failed to take off in India, was left out of USA’s squad for the T20 World Cup, earlier this year.

Even having 1500 runs from 45 MLC innings to his name, making him the second highest run-scorer in the league’s history, hasn’t helped Chand win over the selectors to his side.
