‘Unfair to Pakistan’: Ramiz Raja slams ‘Africa like’ poor coverage for IRE vs PAK, name-drops India

Former Pakistan cricketer Ramiz Raja is disappointed with the absence of DRS, replays and technology in the ongoing IRE vs PAK series

Former Pakistan cricketer Ramiz Raja is disappointed with the coverage for the ongoing IRE vs PAK series. Babar Azam and co. are currently involved in a three-match T20I series against Ireland ahead of their series versus England. Raja hit out at the coverage of the series, noting that crucial elements such as DRS, replays and lack of camera angles made the series look very dull.

‘India would have never allowed it’: Raja on poor coverage of IRE vs PAK

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Raja claimed that India would have never allowed such a lull coverage of a series which they would play. He said that such coverage of IRE vs PAK was unfair for Pakistan cricket, adding that their honour was in their own hands if they wanted to save it. Raja further reckons that the broadcasting rights should have been taken away from Cricket Ireland.

Someone should have figured it out earlier. If the coverage was going to be like this, whichever broadcasting company it was, should have taken the rights from Cricket Ireland. I know they have the rights, but it should have been taken away and the coverage should have been made much better for this series because this marks the beginning of our road to the World Cup,” Raja said.

“I can tell you this with certainty if India knew this situation, they would never have allowed such coverage. Because your honour is in your hands. So Pakistan’s honour should also be in their hands. Through coverage like this, our cricket looks flat. And it is unfair,” he added.
