UAE vs NZ T20 Series: Check out the hosts H2H, win/loss and home record

Find out UAE's record against New Zealand and their record at home in T20Is.

With the World Cup 2023 less than 2 months away, New Zealand will be touring the UAE for a 3-match T20I series ahead of their tour of England in September. The Kiwis will be looking to make the most of the UAE vs NZ T20 Series to get in touch ahead of the 4-match ODI and T20I series against Jos Buttler and Co. So, let’s find out how the hosts have fared in T20I cricket:

UAE vs NZ T20 Series: The host’s record in T20Is

UAE have played a total of 72 T20I matches since their first T20I match against the Netherlands in 2014. The Middle Eastern side has won 35 of these matches, with one game ending in no result.

UAE vs NZ: Head-to-Head

This will be the first time the UAE will face New Zealand in the shortest format of the game. The two sides have met each other once in white-ball cricket, in the 1996 World Cup.

UAE T20 record at home

The host’s record at home is underwhelming compared with their overall T20I record. In the 36 matches they have played at home, they have won just 15 while one game ended with no result.

They have lost the last two series they played at home against Afghanistan (1-2) and Bangladesh (0-2). They have won just three of the last 10 matches played at home and would like to change that record.

Record at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium

The UAE has played six T20I matches at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, losing all of their matches played here. The last match they played here was in September 2022 against Bangladesh.

New Zealand has played nine matches in Dubai and has a losing record of 3-6. The last match the Kiwis played at the stadium was back in the T20 World Cup 2021 Final, a match they lost to Australia.
