Team India U19 batter Musheer Khan’s fine form in the ongoing U19 World Cup 2024 continued as he scored a half-century against USA on Sunday. Safaraz Khan’s brother, who has already scored a ton in the tournament, took on the USA bowlers along with Arshin Kulkarni. Khan played a run-a-ball knock, taking 56 deliveries to reach his fifty.
U19 World Cup 2024: Musheer Khan shines with another fifty
Khan scored three boundaries and one six en route to his half-century. After losing opener Adarsh Singh in the 11th over, Arshin Kulkarni and Musheer stitched together a dominant 100+ run partnership. While Arshin accelerated, Khan played the role of an anchor, taking his time to get going.
In the previous game against IRE U19, Musheer reached his half-century in 66 balls and accelerated to reach his century off 100 balls. His innings included 9 fours and 4 sixes, contributing to India’s win with total score of 301 for 7.
“I feel great to have hit my first hundred for India Under-19. I hurried on a bit for runs in the last match, so I gave myself some time in this match.. “ said Musheer after the match.
