U19 Women World Cup: The inaugural edition of ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup will take place in South Africa. The world cup will start on January 14 and a total of 41 matches will be played. The teams which will be a part of the World Cup are Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, and Zimbabwe. The rest of the places were filled by one team each from ICC’s five regions in which 19 teams participated in the qualifiers.
Which country won the qualifiers:
- Asia Qualifier: UAE
- Africa Qualifier: Rwanda
- Europe Qualifier: Scotland
- East Asia-Pacific Qualifier: Indonesia
- The USA earned fifth place. As it is the only associate country in the Americas to compete under ICC’s Event Pathway Participation Criteria.
