U-19 World Cup 2024: ICC shares video of Virat Kohli dismissing Kane Williamson

U-19 World Cup 2024: India begin their campaign against Bangladesh on January 19.

The U-19 World Cup has been a happy-hunting ground for the Indian teams over the years, with five titles coming our way so far. The first one came under Mohammad Kaif back in 2000, while the latest one came in 2022, when India beat England in the final.

It is that time once again, when the Indian colts have their sight set on the title, with the tournament starting on January 19. And once again, there are host of players, waiting in the wings, to shine, and clear their way to make it to the Indian team. Some of the more prominent names that came through to the Indian setup after strong U-19 World Cup performances are Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Ishan Kishan, Rishabh Pant, and Shubman Gill.

ICC on Friday came up with a video, where U-19 performances of some of these stars were documented. Apart from the Indian stars, there were a few players from rest of the world as well.

The video starts with Jadeja edging one from Tim Southee, to the keeper. Then there was Babar Azam getting out to a mistimed pull against Jason Holder. But the moment of the video was ‘bowler’ Virat Kohli getting the wicket of Kane Williamson.
