With a devastating victory over the West Indies, England clinched first in Group 2 ahead of New Zealand, setting up a matchup with Australia, who finished second in Group 1. Although Bangladesh’s victory over the UAE was outstanding, it was not enough to raise their net run rate to pass Australia and move them up to second place in Group 1.
