“Well done boys, keep performing like this and continue to make all of us proud. Praying for your more successes in cricket,” Babar Azam wrote tweeting the video of the moment when the U-19 boys beat India.

Notably, Babar Azam is the first Pakistan captain to beat India in a World Cup game. Recently, during the T20 World Cup 2021 his side broke the jinx and defeated the Virat Kohli-led side by 10 wickets in the group stage. India could never gain back momentum after the defeat and failed to qualify for the knockout stages.

On Saturday, after being asked to bat first, India three wickets inside three overs. Pacer Zeeshan Zameer wreaked havoc and went on to take 5 wickets in the match. However the likes of Harnoor Singh (46), Raj Bawa (25), Aaradhya Yadav (50) and Kaushal Tambe (32) fought back to take help their team post 237.

Pakistan also lost their first wicket on the second ball of their innings but Maaz Sadaqat (29) and Muhammad Shehzad (81) steadied the ship with a 64-run partnership. India bowled on tight lines throughout the match Pakistan kept on stitching decent partnerships on regular intervals to cross the line. Ahmad Khan (29* off 19) finished the match with a four on the leg side. Raj Bawa took four wickets for India.
