The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to appoint former Australia cricketer Troy Cooley as the bowling coach of the Indian women’s team for the upcoming series against England and Australia.
According to Times of India (TOI), Troy Cooley has already joined the Indian women’s team in Mumbai for the series against Australia and England.
Notably, it will be the second time that Troy Cooley will be part of Indian women’s team management. Earlier, Troy served as the bowling coach of the team in the T20 World Cup in South Africa this year. In October, he was also the bowling coach of the Rest of India team for the Irani Cup match against Saurashtra.
Notably, Indian team, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, will kickstart their T20 Women’s World Cup 2024 preparations with a three-match T20I series against England at home. The shortest format series will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
The T20I series will be followed by a one-off Test, scheduled to take place from December 14th-17th at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
After the conclusion of England series, India will host Australia for a multi-format series. The high-octane clash between the two sides will begin with a Test at the Wankhede Stadium followed by six white-ball matches.
