A female employee at the International Cricket Council (ICC) has apparently alleged harassment at workplace. The staffer also wrote multiple letters addressing the issue, but the top bosses at ICC are yet to respond. According to reports, the female employee feared for her safety and chose to submit mail personally, instead of emailing to top ICC officials.
“She feared her emails could have been tracked by the influential people in the ICC so she went the old-timer way. The entire complaint was typed and printed on an A4 size paper and submitted to a senior ICC official in person,” a well-placed source tells CricketNext.
The sad part is not even one top official, ICC chairman or CEO have reverted to her mail. To note, to date barring that email thing, to the ICC legal team, none of the top officials are yet to hear out the female employee’s shocking revelations about harassment.

International Cricket Council: Female staffer complains go unnoticed, ICC under scanner
For the uninitiated, the female employee had been working in ICC for multiple projects. However, ahead of the T20 World Cup 2021, she faced a lot of harassment working at ICC headquarters in Dubai. She also reached out for help, but each time, there were no response.
“The employee wasn’t a new one at the ICC. She has worked for a considerable amount of time and also worked on a project ahead of the T20 World Cup in UAE. The constant interference at work and then no response to multiple reminders or emails or letters did her any good as no one in the ICC ever had a dialogue with her,” adds the source.
According to News18 report, the female staffer who had filed a case against top brass also has had multiple complaints of harassing co-workers.
“It was always going to be difficult for her to fight against such a big institution and then especially the people part of the senior leadership. Then there was always the fear of future professional opportunities being affected by the events that unfolded at the ICC. This complaint isn’t the first time someone has raised a voice against that ICC official,” says the source tracking developments.
