KKR’s big SRH win creates historic milestone no other IPL team has matched

KKR clinched their 20th IPL win over SRH with a dominant 80-run victory, entering the league’s record books.

While Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) might not be dominating the IPL 2025 standings, they are certainly making headlines by setting new records. Following their recent win against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Thursday night, KKR achieved another milestone in the league.

KKR’s 20+ wins against three opponents

KKR has become the first team in IPL history to record 20+ wins against three different teams. They already had 21 victories against Punjab Kings (PBKS) and 20 wins against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The recent win against SRH marks their 20th win against this team, now making their place in the record books.

Record for most wins against a single opponent

Although KKR set a new record against multiple teams, the record for most wins against a single opponent remains with Mumbai Indians (MI). Interestingly, MI holds this record against KKR, having won 24 matches against them. In contrast, KKR has only managed 11 wins against MI. Additionally, MI has secured 20 victories against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), while CSK has won 21 matches against RCB.
