The Indian Women have so far dominated their Bangladesh counterparts on most occasions whenever the two sides met. Bangladesh Women gained their One Day International (ODI) status only in 2011, over four decades after the Indian Women played their first ODI.
The Bangladesh Women have been contesting fiercely against the Indians of late. They drew their last home T20 series 1-1 against the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side, with one match wiped off due to rain. However, India achieved an easy victory against Bangladesh in their last T20I. India won the semi-final of the Asian Games Women’s Cricket by 8 wickets after bowling Bangladesh out for 51 runs.
