The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is one of the three professional leagues played in Bangladesh. The first season of the tournament was held in February 2012.
BPL follows a round-robin format followed by playoffs. Bangladesh Premier League follows the same pattern as the IPL when it comes to the knock-out stages which include two qualifiers, one eliminator, and the final. There have been three different Bangladesh Premier League winners in its eight seasons so far.
In the recent edition of the BPL, defending champs Comilla Victorians defeated Sylhet Strikers to clinch the trophy once again.
