On Friday, it was further enhanced by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s announcement. The CM announced a cash reward Rs 11 crores for the Indian team. With the announcement, the total prize money won by the team went up to Rs 156 crores.
Shinde announces major prize
For the winning Indian cricket team that won the T20 World Cup, Shinde announced a cash prize of Rs 11 crore. The announcement was made in the state legislature complex’s central hall, Vidhan Bhavan. Four Mumbai players—captain Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Shivam Dube—were honored at the event.
