 Amit Mishra

At the age of 41, Amit Mishra is the oldest spinner going into this IPL 2024. He had consistently performed well for Lucknow Super Giants in the last season of IPL.

Mishra is the 4th highest wicket-taker in IPL history. His career is also filled with numerous injuries, and few reports indicate that IPL 2024 will be his last.

 Dinesh Karthik

Known as a comeback maestro, this 38-year-old star batter always transforms himself into various roles according to the team situation.

Currently playing the role of finisher for RCB, he has performed amazingly well in the last two seasons. But with the addition of players like Rajat Patidar, and Cameron Green for the finishing role he can potentially retire after this IPL.

 Faf du Plessis

After the inclusion of Cameron Green, RCB might consider Green as their new captain next season. It could be possible that we may not see Faf du Plessis next season.

 MS Dhoni

The most successful IPL captain with five IPL trophies, this legendary wicketkeeper-batsman has achieved everything in his career.

After retiring from international cricket in 2020, there has been a lot of speculation surrounding his IPL retirement as well.

According to some reports, CSK and MS Dhoni have discussed the future prospects of the team, and with all the injuries and age, we might not see MS Dhoni in next year’s IPL.

Shikhar Dhawan

This 38-year-old left-handed batter has had his ups and downs in both his personal and professional life.

While his international performances have faced inconsistency. On the other hand, his performances in the IPL games are impressive, with 6617 runs in 217 matches, averaging 35.39.

However, with the inclusion of youngsters in Punjab Kings, there is a strong possibility that he may retire to make way for newcomers.
