Remember when Yashasvi Jaiswal poked Mitchell Starc in the second innings of the Perth Test? Well, the mighty Australian has shown who the real “boss” is. The left-arm pacer made the entire Adelaide crowd stand up to their feet as he enjoyed a rollicking start, trapping Yashasvi Jaiswal on the first ball of the second India vs Australia Test.
IND vs AUS: Another duck for Jaiswal, Starc cock-a-hoop
Yashasvi Jaiswal started the BGT series with a duck when he slashed one hard straight to the slip cordon in Perth. However, he quickly made amends, scoring a match-winning century in the second innings. During that knock, there was a moment where the southpaw slegded Starc, telling him that the Australian is bowling “too slow” for him. While Starc smiled it past him at that moment, the 34-year-old waited for his chance.
In a moment of elation, Starc dismissed Jaiswal on the first ball of the pink-ball Adelaide Test. He bowled a quicker one onto the pads, to which Jaiswal failed to get a piece of a bat. He thought of taking a review, but KL Rahul knew he was gone. Incredibly, this started India’s hunt for 2-0 glory on the worst possible note. Shubman Gill, meanwhile, returned to the team and has looked solid at number three so far.
