Ton factory: Sarfaraz’s brother Musheer Khan notches up 2nd century of U19 World Cup 2024

Musheer is the leading run-scorer in the ongoing Under-19 World Cup, with two hundreds and one fifty to his name in four matches.

Musheer Khan has made the U19 World Cup 2024 his own, following in his brother Sarfaraz Khan‘s footsteps. Musheer’s older brother, Sarfaraz, is the tournament’s third-highest run scorer, behind the greats of the game, Babar Azam and Eoin Morgan.

Musheer has been on a run at the U19 World Cup 2024, scoring fifty (73) and a hundred (118) in his last two matches. The batting phenomenon has scored his second consecutive hundred in the India vs New Zealand U19 match.

He notched up his second ton of the U19 World Cup in just 109 balls (10 fours and 1 six). Having reached the middle with India U19, 28/1, Musheer Khan took complete control of the match. He started his innings with Adarsh Singh along with him and stitched a 77-run stand.

He was then joined by skipper Uday Saharan in the middle. The two highest-run scorers for India put on an 87-run stand before Saharan fell just before India reached their 200.

Aravelly Avanish failed to provide much support to him, departing while Musheer Khan was stuck in his nineties (96). But with Priyanshu Moliya on the field with him, Musheer got to his hundred in the 43rd over.
