TNPL Playoffs: Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2023 has reached the business end of the league. With only three games to go for league stage to end, one spot is up for grabs. Lyca Kovai Kings (LKK), Dindigul Dragons (DD), and Nellai Royal Kings (NRK) have qualified for the playoffs. For the last spot, Siechem Madurai Panthers have booked their place owing to the win against ITT
CSG, ITT, SS & Ba11sy Trichy are eliminated from the playoffs race. Only one league match is left to be played today.
TNPL Playoffs: How CSG, ITT, SS & SMP can qualify can playoffs
Chepauk Super Gillies (CSG)
CSG played their last league match on Sunday and defeated Trichy by 58 runs. But that was not enough as the defending champions have been eliminated from the playoff race. CSG finished fifth on the points table with six points.
Siechem Madurai Panthers (SS)
SMP have qualified for the playoffs of TNPL owing to their thrilling over ITT. They finished the league stages with eight points and occupy fourth spot.
IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans (ITT)
ITT are placed sixth in the points table with just four points. Not only ITT will require to win against SMP, but they need to do so with over 80 runs margin. To make things worse, ITT’s net run rate is also third worst among teams, Chances of them qualifying for the next round look a bit bleak.
Salem Spartans (SS)
SS are placed eight on the points table with four points. Like ITT, SS’s next run is shambolic at -1.310. SS also need to win their last league match by a huge margin and hope other results go in their favor.
