TNPL 2024: Teams, squads, captains, schedule and all you need to know

With the promise of 28 thrilling league games, players like Ravichandran Ashwin and Vijay Shankar are all set to showcase their skills in TNPL 2024.

The Tamil Nadu Premier League is all set to commence on July 5. With a promise of one moneth of jam-packed cricket in southern India. This will be the eighth season of this highly successful league. With matches scheduled at five fixed venues, Salem, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli, Dindigul, and Chennai. It’s worth mentioning that the final will be played at the historic MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk, Chennai.

Eight teams are all set to showcase their cricketing skills. The opening games taking place at the SCF Cricket Ground in Salem from July 5 to 11.

The carnival will then move to Coimbatore from July 13 to 18. And followed by Tirunelveli from July 20 to 24, where a total of six clashes will take place. The last seven encounters, including quarters and eliminator matches, will be played at the NPR College Ground in Dindigul from July 26 to 31.

What is the format of the TNPL?

The tournament will see 28 league matches, as it follows a round-robin format where each team competes against every other team. The top four teams at the end of the league stage will qualify for the knockout rounds.
