Chepauk Super Gillies, captained by Kaushik Gandhi, won 2021 final against Ruby Trichy Warriors by an eight-run margin to win their third TNPL championship.
Nellai Royal Kings, on the other hand, finished fifth in the eight-team event in the previous season with seven points from the same number of games.
