TN beat SAUR Highlights – Vijay Hazare Trophy Semi-finals: Baba Aparajith and Washington Sundar’s heroics helped Tamil Nadu beat Saurashtra in a hard-fought semifinal. While Aparajith scored a crucial century, Sundar scored 70 at a quick rate and helped Tamil Nadu cope up with the run rate. Earlier, after putting 310 on the board, Saurashtra pacer Chetan Sakariya performed brilliantly for his team. The left-arm quick completed a 5-fer in a crucial semifinal encounter. He accounted for in-form N Jagdessan in the very first over. He then dismissed TN skipper Vijay Shankar in his next over. He added three more wickets to his tally as he dismissed Sundar, Shahrukh Khan, and M Siddharth.

Sheldon Jackson’s brilliant batting display and Arpit Vasavada’s late flourish helped Saurashtra post a 310/8 on the board against Tamil Nadu in the second semifinal. Meanwhile, captain Vijay Shankar starred for Tamil Nadu with a 4-fer. Vishvarajsinh Jadeja also scored a half-century and helped Saurashtra recover from the early blow.
