After not having good time in the first two ODIs, Tilak Varma completed a gritty fifty in the IND vs SA 3rd ODI being played in Paarl on Thursday (December 21). Coming out to bat after the fall of KL Rahul, Tilak Varma took his time in the middle. Once set, the left-handed batter unleashed his hitting abilities and also completed a fine fifty with the bat.
Tilak Varma remained unbeaten on 1* in the IND vs SA 1st ODI. In the second match, Varma took 30 deliveries to score just ten runs before getting out to Nandre Burger. However, the left-handed batter redeemed himself in the IND vs SA 3rd ODI after stroking a classy fifty.
Earlier in the match, South Africa won the toss and opted to have a bowl first. Debutant Rajat Patidar impressed everyone during his short stay. The hero of the first two games for India, Sai Sudharshan failed to get going as Beuran Hendricks trapped him in front of the wickets. Skipper KL Rahul was scalped by Wiaan Mulder for 21 runs before Samson and Tilak took over the charge for the Men in Blue.
