Defending champs India made their way through to the semi-final of the U19 World Cup 2024 after beating Nepal by 132 runs in the Super 6s match on Friday, February 2 at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein. Uday Saharan, Sachin Dhas and Saumy Pandey were the stars of the show as the Boys in Blue stayed unbeaten in the tournament on South African soil. Apart from the defending champs, hosts South Africa and Australia have also qualified for the semi-final’s of U19 World Cup.
South Africa U-19 side defeated Sri Lanka U-19 in a one-sided affair to seal their semi-final’s berth. On the other hand, Australia’s match against West Indies got washed out due to rain. Thanks to the weather, the young Men in Yellow sealed their spot for the knock-out stages of U19 World Cup.
