“This is IPL XI”: Former Pakistan star heaps huge praise after India thrash Bangladesh

IND vs BAN T20I: Former Pakistan Cricket Team star Bashit Ali lavishes huge praise for India Cricket Team after thrashing Bangladesh

The India Cricket Team thrashed Bangladesh in the IND vs BAN 1st T20I in Gwalior. Following which former Pakistani batter Bashir Ali has claimed that this is not Indian XI, rather it is IPL XI that has played against Bangladesh the other day. He has lavished Team India by saying the importance of IPL which has yielded such brilliant talents for the country.

“Yeh IPL eleven hai, India ki team nahi hai. There was no (Yashasvi) Jaiswal, no (Shubman) Gill, no Axar Patel, no Rishabh Pant, no (Shreyas) Iyer; (Ravi) Bishnoi did not play. And still they hammered them in just 11-something overs, finishing with a six from (Hardik) Pandya,” said Bashir Ali.

Bashit Ali praises India Cricket Team

“Is this the same Bangladesh team that whitewashed Pakistan (2-0)? You saw in the Test matches (against India). They lost the first one and then were defeated in virtually two days, even the rain could not save them,” said the 53-year-old Basit.

Bashit Ali has also claimed that India is just getting started. According to him, the new Team India under new captain Suryakumar Yadav is just getting started. He further claimed that the India vs Bangladesh series looked like an appetizer. “India have changed cricket (with their dominance). Bangladesh is just an appetizer (for them).

Furthermore, Bashit Ali praised the youngster Mayank Yadav who made his debut. He claimed how the speedster has spread his fear with his blistering pace. He claimed now when India travels Australia, it will be disadvantage for the hosts if they prepare bouncy pitches.

“There were two debuts, but it was a dream debut for Mayank Yadav. The first over was a maiden, including a 149.8 kmph delivery. He could not bowl in the high 150kmph only because he has just recovered from an injury. Darr baithaya usne aaj (he sent down a scare). Batsmen were always on the back foot. I pray that this kid remains fit and goes on the Australia tour. Mayank, (Mohammed) Shami, (Jasprit) Bumrah, (Mohammed) Siraj — four pacers. Banaye Australia bouncy wicket, phir pata chalega (let them prepare bouncy pitches and find out),” he concluded.
