The pre-sale of tickets for the last remaining batch of India matches at Ahmedabad went on sale on Sunday, September 3 at 8 pm. The India vs Pakistan match was the last of the World Cup 2023 matches for which the tickets went on sale today.

Just like yesterday, when tickets for the India vs South Africa match were sold out in a minute, a frustrating incident happened today where fans were unable to book tickets for the IND-PAK match after they went live on the BookMyShow platform. Several fans faced glitches while booking tickets for the WC 2023

After around 40 minutes of the India Pakistan tickets going live on the platform, the screens of many users were refreshed with the following screen which showed that tickets have been sold out. To note, India will exclusively host the ODI World Cup for the first time this year after, having previously co-hosted it in 1987, 1996, and 2011 alongside Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The first match of the competition is slated to be played on October 5.

A total of 10 teams will participate at the showcase event, the first eight having already qualified through the Cricket World Cup Super League. Each team plays the other nine in a round robin format with the top four qualifying for the knockout stage and semi-finals. Hosts India who have not won any ICC trophy since 2013 will have a golden opportunity to win the prized trophy in front of their home crowd.
