‘There won’t be any difficulties going into T20 World Cup 2024’: Suryakumar Yadav

Before the start of the T20 World Cup 2024 in June, Team India only has six T20Is to play.

Team India is all set to appear in the first T20I against South Africa, in Durban on Sunday. Under the leadership of the stand-in skipper Suryakumar Yadav, the team is on a high after winning the home T20I series versus Australia 4-1, but the challenge here in South Africa will be a little different. The cooler conditions could play a role in deciding the fate of the series. But then Suryakumar didn’t look particularly worried about it, since the team has prepared well.

Talking on the show ‘Follow The Blues’, he said, “You need to understand the conditions really well in order to perform well in South Africa. So preparation is the key. The ground is in high altitude, and it is believed that the ball travels here. So we have prepared well, we are coming out of a nice T20I series. Conditions will favour all our batters and bowlers too. I’m really excited an looking forward to it.”

India vs South Africa Audition Before T20 World Cup 2024

With just six T20Is to go before India participates in the T20 World Cup 2024, the India vs South Africa series becomes all the more important, and SKY is in total agreement. “Absolutely. When you’re building a team for a World Cup, you need to carefully pick the playing XI for each match. The number of T20Is for us is less, but the players have already adapted well. There won’t be any difficulties going into the World Cup.”
