So, on Friday, when Rohit Sharma was removed from captaincy by Mumbai Indians and Hardik Pandya was preferred instead, fans had their own way of showing support for the former.
As per various reports, Mumbai Indians lost 4 lakh X followers after the news. Before the removal of Rohit, it was recorded at 8.6 million, while after the removal, it was at 8.2 million. Not just that, they lost quite a few of them on Instagram as well. If the tweets of the fans are to be believed, this might just be true.

Rohit had a stellar record as the captain of Mumbai Indians. He led his side to title wins in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020. In the 163 matches as captain, he won 91 and lost only 68, with four tied matches as well. Without any doubt, he is one of the best captains in the IPL, perhaps after MS Dhoni, who has led CSK 226 times, winning 133 matches.
