The reason I am here: Hardik Pandya credits MI 2015 title run as his ‘life-changing’ moment

Pandya has played six seasons with the Mumbai Indians and has four titles to his name with them.

Hardik Pandya has credited the Mumbai Indians (MI) for his whole cricketing career. The star all-rounder was picked up by the franchise for the IPL 2015 season, and that turned out to be the year they won their second title. Pandya played an instrumental role in their title run, including two ‘Player of the Match‘ performances.

His two destructive knocks have allowed MI to end the group stage in the top two and qualify for Qualifiers 1. On how the year with Mumbai changed his career, he said:

“It was special; it’s because of the moment that I might be sitting here. If that hadn’t happened, I might not have been here. The whole season, for us (Mumbai Indians), I was fortunate enough that I was able to contribute on a much larger scale. My best memories were my two Man of the Match awards in do-or-die situations.

On how that turned out to be the biggest moment of his career, Hardik Pandya said,

It is my life’s best year; this is where the journey started. The boy from Gujarat with big dreams was able to execute it because of this moment.”
