The Hundred: Mumbai Indians superstar Quinton De Kock joins The Hundred, will play alongside Devon Conway for Southern Brave – Mumbai Indians’ South African star Quinton de Kock will play in the inaugural The Hundred cricket tournament as a replacement for Australian Marcus Stoinis. He will join New Zealand’s new batting sensation Devon Conway, who came as a replacement for Australian David Warner. Conway is being monitored by many teams in the IPL 2021.

Devon Conway, who made his debut in November, has taken international cricket like duck to water. He has already slammed a double-century on Test debut at Lord’s earlier this month while slamming fifty in the ICC World Test Championship Final against India last week. He has a batting average of 75 in the ODIs and 59 in the T20Is.

Devon Conway has been under IPL teams’ radar as he could fit right in as a replacement for England players who will not be allowed to play in the IPL 2021 Phase 2. Teams such as Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals, in dire need of an opening batsman, could be tempted to offer him a contract. SRH will be looking to replace Jonny Bairstow while RR will have to find a replacement for Jos Buttler. KKR will need to find a replacement for captain Eoin Morgan.

Mumbai Indians’ wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton De Kock will also join the squad among world’s most exciting players in the Hundred. He will rejoin coach Mahela Jayawardena again after working with him at Mumbai Indians in the IPL.

“I can’t wait to get going with Southern Brave. I’m also really excited to be working with Mahela again. Hopefully, we can have plenty of fans in to support us and we can give them something to cheer about,” Quinton de Kock told ESPNCricinfo.
