The Ashes is On – England Tour of Australia: After lots of ifs and buts, Joe Root’s England team has agreed to tour Australia as scheduled. This means after various doubts iconic series between Australia & England will play as scheduled. According to reports in England & Australian media, Root and his team agreed to tour after Cricket Australia made a 2nd presentation to the ECB & the players.

“The Ashes will happen .. I also think most if not all players will travel,” Vaughan tweeted.

The Ashes is On – England Tour of Australia: Both Sydney Morning Herald & The Telegraph has reported that Joe Root was left satisfied after the 2nd briefing by Cricket Australia CEO Nick Hockley on Monday night.

The Telegraph in London reported that Root’s mind was made up after the second briefing with Hockley, which was arranged last night by CA to ensure any queries from the initial information session on Monday.

How the Ashes Condurum was resolved?

  •  The paper further reported that the most pressing issue of quarantine norms for the players families were addressed by Cricket Australia.
  • Now the families of players would be allowed to quarantine in a Yara Valley Resort booked exclusively for them.
  • This measure, in addition to the resort facilities offered to the two groups of players, staff and families arriving into the Gold Coast in November either side of the Twenty20 World Cup, was critical to reassuring Root and his players that they would not be facing two weeks confined to a hotel room on arrival.
