The batting maestro penned an emotional note after winning the T20 World Cup and announcing his retirement. In his social media post, Kohli credited Anushka for his humbleness & honesty and noted that none of his successes would have been possible without her.

Virat Kohli announced his retirement from T20Is after winning his maiden T20 World Cup trophy in Barbados. The stalwart was the Player of the Match of the IND vs SA Final as he rescued India with a 76-run knock. With the T20 World Cup box checked, Kohli now passes the baton to the next generation.
“This was my last T20 World Cup, and this is what we wanted to achieve. One day you feel you can’t get a run, then things happen. God is great, and I got the job done for the team on the day it mattered,” Virat Kohli said at the post-match presentation.
