In a popular video on social media, the 42-year-old was seen riding a trendy bike around his hometown. MS Dhoni was dressed casually, with a green t-shirt and black pants. Dhoni was seen going about the city.

Dhoni, who has led CSK for 16 years before passed the captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad, ahead of IPL 2024. Despite ongoing speculation over the past few seasons, the World Cup-winning captain has consistently demonstrated remarkable fitness and form. Many believed that IPL 2024 would be Dhoni’s last, but recent reports suggest otherwise.

A CSK official revealed that Dhoni has not yet made a definitive decision regarding his retirement. “Dhoni has not told anybody in CSK that he is quitting. He has told the management that he will wait for a couple of months before taking a final call,” the report on TOI quoted a source as saying. “He did not feel any discomfort in his running between the wickets, and that is a plus.”

Dhoni’s performance in IPL 2024 further supports the notion that he still has plenty to contribute on the field. Playing in all league matches for CSK, he scored 161 runs with an impressive average of 53.67 and a striking rate of 220.5, showcasing his enduring skill and resilience.
