Team India has a huge selection headache heading into the ICC T20 World Cup. There a huge selection dilemma in terms of choosing the pace attack for the team. Young Lucknow Super Giants pacer Mayank Yadav has lighted up IPL 2024 with his blistering pace. The 21-year-old pacer has started to turn the heads after bagging 6 wickets in just 2 games. The youngster is currently third in the Purple Cap list. On the other hand, despite poor performances by Delhi Capitals, Khaleel Ahmed has been their saving grace.
The 26-year old pacer is 5th in the Purple Cap hunt after having bagged 6 wickets in 4 games. As both Khaleel and Mayank continue to impress with their majestic spells, it is worth noting that the duo can be in contention to fly to USA and join Team India in the ICC T20 World Cup.
Siraj, Arshdeep falter again!
Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh are not having the IPL 2024 which they had so dearly hoped for. Siraj has managed to bag just 3 wickets in 4 games. But he has gone on to leak a whopping 157 runs in those matches. On the other hand, Arshdeep has 4 wickets in equal games. The death over bowler has leaked 131 runs and was unable to finish his quota of 4 overs in 2 games.
With less than 60 days remaining for the ICC T20 World Cup, it is a big selection dilemma for the Indian Cricket Team.
