Team India New Coach: Sourav Ganguly says, ‘Rahul Dravid yet to accept our offer’– BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has finally opened on Rahul Dravid’s possibility of becoming team India head coach. In a recent interview, he said that his former teammate Rahul Dravid is yet to accept the offer made by BCCI.
“There is no confirmation (On Dravid becoming coach),” Ganguly told Aaj Tak.

Team India New Coach: Ganguly said that Rahul Dravid has asked for some time to make a final decision on whether he will be taking succeed Ravi Shastri for the top job. He further stated that Dravid remains the head of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) which he considers an important position.
“If he wants to apply, he will apply, the process has to happen. For now, he is the coach of NCA and I believe NCA has a big role to play in Indian cricket. I have spoken to him earlier about this as well and he was not that interested and I feel the situation is still the same. He has asked for some time, let’s see what happens,” he added.
Team India New Coach: Dravid offered almost twice than Ravi Shatri- If Dravid takes up the role of team India coach, he is expected to take a salary of Rs 10 crore per annum. And, he will sign a contract of at least two years. It is worth noting that the current coach of the Indian team Ravi Shastri draws 5.5 Cr in annual salary & Dravid has been offered almost double the amount.

- Rahul Dravid Offered Salary – 10 Cr + Bonuses. Also, it is to be noted that Dravid draws 7 Cr Salary as HEAD of NCA.

Team India New Coach: Former India captain also spoke about the importance of keeping former great players from the country in a loop for the betterment of Indian cricket.
“How many times do you see players Dravid, (Sachin) Tendulkar, (MS) Dhoni, (VVS) Laxman and Virat Kohli coming up in one country in such a short span. They have to be utilised,” he signed off.
Who will be new NCA Head? Meanwhile, former India batsman VVS Laxman is likely to succeed as NCA Head if Dravid decides to take up the role of India’s head coach.
