Prep mode on! Team India jets off to Barbados ahead of Super 8 encounter against Afghanistan

India has not played a single match in the Caribbean in the ongoing T20 World Cup. In fact, all three matches they have played have come at the same venue, Nassau Cricket Stadium.

The India cricket team has left Florida’s bad weather behind and traveled to Barbados for their first Super 8 match against Afghanistan. The Rohit Sharma-led side has had a good rest, having last stepped foot on a field on June 12 against the USA. With ample practice and rest, they now move to the Kensington Oval and get ready for their clash on June 20.

Team India hasn’t played a single match in the West Indies so far. Three of their four matches have been played in New York, with the last one being rained off. That leaves the Men in Blue underprepared for what are expected to be spin-friendly conditions, completely opposite of the pitch at the Nassau Cricket Stadium.
