Team India begin practice in Melbourne ahead of IND vs AUS Boxing Test

Team India will be playing the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne and New Year's Test in Sydney in the BGT

After a rain-curtailed draw in the IND vs AUS Gabba Test, the India Cricket Team has begun their first practice in Melbourne ahead of the Boxing Day Test. The Border Gavaskar Trophy lies leveled at 1-1 and the visitors will be desperate to win the remainder of the two Test matches as they aim to reach the WTC Finals.

Team India was spotted having their first training session in Melbourne as all eyes once again fell on star batter Virat Kohli. The ace batter was spotted having a conversation with head coach Gautam Gambhir. Meanwhile, in the nets, Rishabh Pant was spotted facing deliveries.

India begins preparations for the Boxing Day Test

Team India began their practice early on Saturday. Rohit Sharma and Co are keen to etch out a positive result at the MCG. India started the series well with a dominant victory in Perth. The Aussies immediately replied by gifting India a humiliating loss in the Adelaide Test.

And with the Gabba Test resulting in a draw, it is now all to play for in Melbourne and Sydney. All eyes will be on India’s ace batters Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli who have failed to perform so far. Kohli did however slam an unbeaten century in Perth, Rohit’s poor form in the meantime continues.

India’s bowling unit looks settled with Jasprit Bumrah continuing to be a threat for the Aussies. Another key area of focus will be on India’s middle order who have been rather poor so far in the series.
