England keen to know about change in Venue

Reports in Pakistan suggest that Sri Lanka and UAE are deemed as the alternative options to host the Test matches. But now the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) continue to seek clarification before they can announce their team. With construction work continuing at the stadiums before the mega ICC event, the ECB is currently seeking clarification as to where the matches will be held.

Reports further claim that discussion continue in Pakistan as to where the games can be shifted. England’s new all-format head coach Brendon McCullum has claimed that he is unable to select his Test squad without knowing where the matches will be held.

“We don’t really know (what is happening in Pakistan) but we can’t pick a team until we know where we’re going to play. It would be nice if, over the next couple of days, we found out,” Brendon McCullum said.

“Then we’ll sit down and make sure we’ve got the right team for the right conditions and the right opposition,” he concluded.
