Sai Kishore issues open challenge to BCCI chief selector, claims he’s ready for IND vs BAN Tests

Ahead of the Duleep Trophy, Tamil Nadu spinner Sai Kishore claims that he is more ready than ever to make his Test debut

Tamil Nadu spinner Sai Kishore has challenged BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar, claiming that he was ready to play a Test match for India. The spinner will be in action in the Duleep Trophy featuring alongside other spinners including Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar and Rahul Chahar. The selectors will keep a close eye on the performances of players in the Duleep Trophy to pick the squad for IND vs BAN Tests.

Sai Kishore ready for India Test challenge

In an interview with the New Indian Express, Kishore claims that he is one of the best spinners in the country. He claimed that he is more ready than ever before to play a Test and that he was looking forward to playing alongside veteran Jadeja.

I feel I am one of the best spinners in the country. Put me in a Test match, I am ready. So, I am not worried too much,” Sai Kishore said.

After a great season with the Gujarat Titans in IPL 2024, Sai Kishore starred in the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) as a pure batter. He picked up a freak injury during the IPL which forced him to stay away from bowling. However, now Kishore has recovered and is very confident about making his Test debut. Currently, he is playing in the Buchi Babu Invitation Tournament for Tamil Nadu.

I feel so confident because I have never trained in the block I have now. Maybe before getting into the IPL, I would have trained like this,” Sai Kishore said, speaking about his training.
