Jaydev Unadkat-led Sauurashtra lost their opening game against Tamil Nadu by an innings and 70 runs. After being bowled out for 203 in the 1st innings, SAU were put on the backfoot, thanks to a century from Narayan Jagadeesan and even contributions from the top-order that propelled TN to 367 runs. In response, Saurashtra were bundled out for just 94 runs, with Gurjanpreet Singh bagging six wickets to wreak havoc on SAU.
His remarks over the facilities come amid concerns over drainage facilities at various venues which have caused delays to matches and in worse cases, for multiple days of play to be canceled. Apart from a few Ranji Trophy games, the AFG vs NZ one-off Test in Greater Noida bore the brunt of poor facilities with all five days of play being washed out without the toss taking place.
